I have discovered a new (to me) material in the pen making world: TruStone. TruStone is man made, but consists of real stone with a binding resin that allows it to be turned like wood but take on the luster and polish of the real stone! Above is the first pen I have created with TruStone. It features the Turquoise with black web version on a Rhodium plating Baron style fountain pen.
TruStone is available in a myriad of different stones including malachite, jade, and jasper. I will be adding some additional information on my website soon that features some of the other options available that you may be interested in.
